As a society we do not tolerate deaths on construction sites, so why do we tolerate construction traffic killing people who are cycling?

The problem is that construction sites can avoid the problems by simply (and understandably) banning the vulnerable public.

I wonder if TfGM went ahead with their planned bike trains encouraging students to cycle in from Owens Park today...
