    I do wear a cycle helmet but rather didn't. Unfortunately my wife has bought into the fear and so I have little choice in the matter if I wish to cycle (she isn't a cyclist). She thinks it will make a big difference if I am involved in an RTC. So please don't think badly of cyclists wearing helmets. At least we are on two pedal driven wheels.

    P.S. Sometimes, when touring, I strap the helmet to a pannier and cycle bareheaded. Please don't tell anyone!
